The administration to rabbits of up to 25 mg ACTH (Armour) daily in a beeswax/arachis oil medium sometimes prolongs the survival of skin homografts, but does not consistently reproduce the effects of 10 mg cortisone acetate daily on the homograft reaction, the processes of wound healing, or the blood picture.
The concomitant administration of chorionic gonadotrophin to female rabbits does not improve the response to ACTH.
Journal of Endocrinology is committed to supporting researchers in demonstrating the impact of their articles published in the journal.
The two types of article metrics we measure are (i) more traditional full-text views and pdf downloads, and (ii) Altmetric data, which shows the wider impact of articles in a range of non-traditional sources, such as social media.
