SUMMARY

The effect of methallibure, a non-steroidal pituitary inhibitor, on the hypersecretion of gonadotrophins in parabiotic rats after castration of one partner has been investigated. At lower doses the compound prevents the hypertrophy of the ovaries in the intact partner. At higher doses it may cause a decline in the ovarian weight of the intact partner.
